The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood is a precious diamond set within the golden sights of St. Petersburg. It was the first church built in memory of Alexander II, who had been killed at the site of the future Church. That is why the church is called the “Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood”. When visiting the museum, personal protective equipment (masks and gloves) are provided. Visitors without personal protective equipment are not admitted to the exposition of the museum complex.
